So far I am very satisfied with this shower curtain. The plastic is quite thick, feels solid and there are 3 magnets on the bottom to hold the curtain in place. Prior to this purchase, I bought another shower curtain from Revain from a different manufacturer a few months ago. It was a very nice fabric with a zippered shower pad. It all broke almost immediately despite costing about three times the price of that plain plastic curtain, and mold immediately started to collect on the lining. Also, the bathroom floor was always a lake after a shower no matter how careful we were. No longer! I am very happy with this simple shower curtain and so far (it's only been about a week) I haven't seen any signs of mold or bacterial growth. I try to pull the curtain all the way out after showering and try to keep it as clean as possible. (However, these measures had no effect on my former shower curtain - even running the sanitizer cycle in the washing machine once a week didn't do anything - mold and those nasty slimy pink disease-causing Serratia marcescens bacteria appeared on the underside of the liner immediately after washing ! ) And of course you can always hang a nice fabric curtain outside the bathtub while the water stays in the bathtub.
