Review on πŸ” Smart Key Finder Tracker Locator: Bluetooth Item Finder with Remote Control for Wireless Key Locator, Pet Tracker, and Wallet Tracker by Jason Yancy

Ideal for dog training

So far I have only used 4 out of 8 receivers. Wallet/ID, house keys, car keys and a dog. Yes, doggy. From time to time the dog crawls out from behind the fence and I can track the dog by its horns. Even if the dog barks randomly outside, I can just point the remote at the window and press the button to distract the dog and in most cases get the dog to stop barking. I linked the beep to the punishment. So the dog knows that to squeak means to refrain from doing something and to come. I'm still working on getting the beep to come right away. I see how this can be very helpful for multiple pets. Each with their own beeper. It would be nice if each beeper had its own unique pitch or pattern to make it easier for pets to identify their own tone when it sounds. But the pooch was out in the rain with a squeak and I saw no problem in keeping it working. This is loud enough if there is concern that the water could damage the beeper, that it could be obscured by a coin pouch or the like.

Pros
  • Both your phone and the key finder will beep for about 10 seconds to alert you when the item finder is out of range or turned off, so you don't have to worry about missing something you want (this function can be disabled in the settings). Typically, the Bluetooth range is around 10-12m indoors and 20-50m outdoors.
Cons

I had to return as the actual transmitters are too large for the items I wanted to put them on.
