My 9 year old daughter has been asking for proper shoes with a tie for a while. Since their feet are slightly smaller (Y2.5), they are still considered toddler and preschool size. It turned out to be surprisingly difficult to find stylish sneakers that actually tie (many look knotted but slip). She loved them and they really look great on her. After a few months the socks seem to be holding up well.
