Review on Mythic Renaissance Medieval Irish Costume Over Dress & Chemise Set (XXS/XS, Black) by Sean Franklin

This is beautiful and it fit well. I would happily wear it to an indoor or evening event. The color description said, and showed, steel blue. I would call this more of a light cornflower blue. No gray to it. If you’re going to Renaissance Festival and you’re looking for a period correct outfit, try to find something made out of cotton or linen. Especially if you are going somewhere in 90+ degree weather, and sunshine. This dress DOES NOT BREATHE. I have never been so hot in my life. I truly thought I might pass out, which I’ve never felt before. Halfway through my Renaissance Festival day, I gave up and bought a cotton outfit. I think the temperature seemed to decrease by 15 degrees the minute I got out of this dress. To put this into perspective… I normally wear cotton peasant top with a true over bust corset, and a huge, very heavy, long skirt, with skirt hikes, and this dress was far hotter for me to wear.I wish there was an option to buy this outfit made out of cotton or linen.
