I'm 5'6" and weigh 4165 pounds. I bought the XL because of other reviews about going up a size and when I tried it on it was perfect. If you are small, you may need to wear heels with them or change them. The lace sleeve also fits. If I just went with lg I probably wouldn't get in. I'll post a photo later when I put it on a cocktail dress.
