This scratching post is too cute! It's sensible and inviting enough to feel right at home in just about any decor style. The tree is well made, good fabric and SUPER easy to set up. Took me literally 6 minutes after looking at the instructions - I timed it and all - and I'm not the least bit mechanically inclined. My cat loves it, he gets cold all day. This is a great buy for your money. I gave 4 stars for a few small reasons: - It's actually not ideal for large adult cats. My cat is fragile, weighs 10 pounds, and when she jumps on her or rolls over, she shakes the whole tree. I've had cats in the past that couldn't use it so be careful if you have a big cat. - Likewise, the base and side platforms could be a bit larger. - Exposed gear in tunnel - cap or cloth patch would be a good idea.
