Review on ๐ŸŒฟ Herb Guard - 1 Oz Airtight Jar & Smell Proof Container: 500ml Size with Humidity Pack for Long-Lasting Freshness by April Anson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good retention but leaks making it a mediocre option for the price

Unfortunately I bought a couple of these but after about two months I realized they were leaking. I've used Boveda sachets to keep the contents fresh with the right moisture, but I've found that the contents are still dry when I open the jar. I suspect this is because the lid of the jar is not sealed with any type of gasket. Inside the lid is a piece of sponge cardboard which is functionally useless but I think should give the buyer a false sense of security as the lid has some sort of insulation that keeps the contents airtight. After using them for about 3-4 months I've decided that there are better products out there (and ones that have room for the Boveda pack so it doesn't touch your materials) and I recently bought a couple of these, not about Revain though. Depending on what you're storing, these can be pretty good containers. I can't confirm UV capability as none of these lenses have been exposed to direct sunlight, but even if they were I don't know if there's a way to check if they let light through. Since you have to rely on the manufacturer to do this, and in this case I already know the closure isn't airtight, I'm inclined to assume they're just black jars with plastic lids that cost about $0.50 to make costs, but they are sold at a top price. However, they don't open on their own, they roll well and I didn't break any of them despite banging them against each other and even dropping one back and forth.
