I have ordered another bag from the same company which I really like! But for travel it was hard, bulky and the straps pinched. But I like it anyway. I had many more trips and thought I would give it a try. So many zippers and compartments! And it's soft. I'm concerned about the durability of lightning. They move a bit roughly, but I can try the old candle wax trick. I carried two laptops and with the thick shoulder strap it was relatively pain free. Folds well without pinching hands with handles. I found it very sturdy and roomy. It stands by itself when there are things in it. Not the best, but the more it is, the lighter it costs. As for the smell. My God. Like real leather, no foreign chemical smells. Delicious! I think doing the zipper treatment or not being impatient will do for me. They are strong but don't slide well. They are well packed along with a storage bag when not in use for a while. I am happy with the purchase and have received several compliments (which is not the purpose of the bag). The previous bag I bought from this company looks more like a bag than a computer bag. But I would suggest spending the extra money for the convenience of this bag. Hope that helps.
