Review on 🎧 beyerdynamic DT 900 PRO X Premium Studio Open Back Headphones by Keisuke Shimizu ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No complaints, I recommend the product for purchase.

I listened to DT1990 Pro and DT900 Pro X. Oddly enough, I liked the older ones less. Sibilants and unnatural timbre with a touch of metal in the DT 1990 Pro is more noticeable. Therefore, I took the DT 900 Pro X for the computer. The sound is quite smooth, for me - neutral, slightly bright, excellent detail. The scene is average. But, of course, they are more for looking for fleas, I won’t call them audiophile, yet the sound is rustic and the timbre is with metal. To my ears, they are harsh, on some compositions I want to turn down the volume. For a company - a great option, if you take no more than 25 thousand. For audiophilia - well, no, there are tastier options. The same AKG 712 Pro is much more pleasant in terms of timbre at the same price plus or minus.

Pros
  • Reliable, well made. Lightweight and comfortable on the head. Velor ear pads. Low impedance and high sensitivity - in principle, should play from any hole. Two wires included.
Cons
  • They sound pretty straight forward and simple. The tone is slightly metallic.
