It is a bit long for my car seat so the front edge protrudes a little. The harness goes through the back strap but is difficult to insert when the pet is already in the carrier. I find it easier to thread the seat belt through the carry handles. It also seems to hold the stroller more firmly in the seat. However, this would not work if the zipper were unzipped to allow the dog to sit with its head out of the carrier. I would like to see a better way to secure it with a seat belt. I bought this to transport a puppy home from a breeder and find it much safer than my previous pet harnesses or no restraints. In general I am satisfied with his work. I find this safer than letting the dog fully open the vehicle.
