Review on Tex Trend Cotton Blankets Queen by Robin Detwiler

This is exactly the blanket I was looking for and I love it. As mentioned in other reviews it did have an odor when first unpacked but that is due to the plastic zip bag it comes in. I washed the duvet before use and the smell is completely gone. To be honest I also ignored the washing instructions and used a normal wash cycle with warm wash and cold rinse. I've also put it in the dryer on normal heat (using a commercial unscented fabric softener sheet). It still came out perfect. I find it very soft and smooth, not hard at all or "crunchy" as others have described. It's a lot of weight, not heavy, but still more than a sheet or flannel blanket. Because it is cotton, it is very breathable. It retains body heat sufficiently without overheating. In terms of color, I have a medium turquoise that leans more towards blue. It's a beautiful color and I wouldn't say it has a lot of green in it, if any.
