I used this to line the bottom shelves of my closet. The mesh on the back makes it easy to trim. To start, step back about an inch or two and line up the piece you're using with your shelf or drawer. While peeling off the backing paper, use your other hand to smooth it evenly over the surface you are applying the backing paper to to remove wrinkles or bubbles. You'll learn that with a little practice. The structured surface of the film enables easy gliding, even over heavy objects. It also reflects light very well, so if you use it in dark places it will help reflect some light. Also removable if you make a mistake or just want to replace it. It took me about 7-10 minutes per shelf to measure, cut and glue. I glued the insert to the cut out piece of cardboard for the bottom shelves just to make working inside the closet easier.
