I always thought that putting something in front of the camera is only for government paranoiacs but 1. it's a real problem and 2. this thing will come in handy in everyday life prove life too. I work for an organization that uses a lot of lines for conferencing with external clients and having this manual option to prevent others from viewing my video is a very good idea. It does not block the lens when opening and is very easy to use. I also like that it's very discreet and doesn't interfere with my laptop closing properly.
