Not suitable: Camera and photo

Too small for the Leica SF58 (I don't know Metz, but I've heard that they are identical devices). You can push it in with a lot of force, but only a few inches, leaving too much plastic on the sides and splashing light where you don't want it. Forced firing in this way can also damage the flash. I could try stretching it with a blow dryer, but I really wouldn't need to - it should fit straight out of the bag. And while we're on the subject, it comes in a thick plastic bag, so you can't try it on in the store either. (Everything has been repackaged since the Tylenol killer. Why don't they sell them by weight at photo stores so you can find out if they will fit before you buy? I'm still looking for a diffuser for my expensive flash. Selling a Leica, lets you zoom the head to 18mm and doesn't increase the apparent size of the flash of light (or glare in the eyes) it just diffuses it a bit I haven't tried it it could be a great $40 plastic tag but sometimes would like to I close the flash dome and zoom in. Design The Leica appears primarily intended to reduce flash vignetting on wider lenses, and differs functionally from the traditional Tupperware-style diffuser the search continues.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Large and clumsy
