These glue sticks are for light, non-critical applications. I found they don't work well if you're sticking something to a smooth or shiny surface. They can work well in these situations if you sand the area with sandpaper etc, but other than that I've found that this particular low strength hot glue tends to flake off any smooth surface. I've had other better quality hot glue that works much better on smooth surfaces. When I need cheap hot glue for porous surfaces on electronics etc. I can get the same $1 pack of 20 from my local Dollar Tree. To be honest before paying $5 for them at Revain I would consider a better quality well known brand or try your local DT or craft store.
