I bought this for my 75 lb Pitty...he had a large growth removed from his front leg (wrist). I had a plastic e-collar on for when he was unattended, but it was just lovely to have this donut around my neck when my little one was running around. She appreciated that he hadn't poked her with the plastic cone. Sometimes he would get his foot stuck in a donut, so I wouldn't advise anyone to leave their dog unattended for this reason (and not to remove the stitches! That would be an expensive mistake!). I didn't think he wouldn't be able to get his eye patch with that, but it was nice to have an extra barrier... it was a little distraction for him. He used it to rest his chin on a pillow or as a pillow, so I think he was as comfortable as could be with a big donut around his neck. It feels solid... hasn't ripped or torn, but we haven't used it 24/7. I like that you can take it with you in the car (if you need it for business) and it's out of the way.
