I will not lie. I loved my old Snuggie plush! I liked it so much that I decided to try the latest version that everyone is raving about. , from someone who loved/loves their Snuggie Plush WAY more than is acceptable. First, Sherpa is really soft while Snuggie is thick. It's warm and a little more stylish than the originals. So if I didn't have anything comparable, I'd be completely satisfied. The problems I have with this Snuggie are: The Snuggie looks like faux suede and I'm not comfortable holding it in my hands. I know it sounds silly, but when I want to lay down on the couch and wear my Snuggie I don't have to look for a "soft spot" to put my hands on because the texture on the outside is uncomfortable. 2) I know Sherpas. tend to shed little fluffy balls, but that's overkill. He just keeps shaking and shaking. 3) The seam where the sherpa and "suede" meet is really rough and it's totally unavoidable. I don't like it and wish there was a way to make it softer or hide the seams. In short, Snuggie is great, especially if you've never had the chance to enjoy your previous Snuggie Plush. If I could order a plush again, I would. But because the only real options are Snuggie and Snuggie Sherpa. I would say Sherpa is the way to go.
