Works great. The iPad initially had trouble "recognizing" it, but they're good friends now. Since I needed more protection for my iPad, I don't use it as a case; I have a foldable Targus case which exposes the bottom edge of the iPad when open and the keyboard fits very well into the case during use. When not in use, it's small enough to fit in my pocket alongside an iPad without being noticeable. It took a few days to get used to the small buttons, but it was just a matter of getting used to it. I also have a full-size Logitech iPad keyboard that I've been using for almost two years and has only had to charge it 3 times with A LOT of use. So it wasn't difficult to buy a Mini next to my Mini. You have to watch your spelling - the keyboard may not correct and spell for you (which I see as a plus: autocorrect is weirdly wrong too often on the iPad)
