This is a great little hiking/biking/light hiking set. only two parts are missing: 1. a striker (a small ferrocerium rod and a piece of steel to create sparks or an old Coleman lantern lighter)2. a 6" tall windshield (make your own out of an aluminum oven liner). Otherwise, this cook set is fairly complete and works well - it will NOT work outdoors without a windshield; Inside you'll find: 16-ounce lid with hinged pull-tab Silicone handle (thumb and two fingers to operate the hot cup or lid) collapsible spatula 2 ounce plastic fuel container alcohol burner with storage pockets pocket for no-wind cooking set) with the following results: 1. Add 1 ounce of alcohol - there are graduations in the oven for 1 and 2 oz 2. ignite and siphon for 60 seconds - this allows flame to come out of burner holes 3. Add 8 oz water to cup, put lid on, set cup on stove - there are no legs so must the stove level be! filled with water, cooked in 5 minutes including main time and then with 16 ounces of water: 1. two ounces of fuel ff added2. Prepared for 60 seconds (sounds like a bigger flame?) 3. Place a full, covered cup on the stovetop of water that has been boiled at the 8 minute mark, after the water has boiled and place in another container or bag poured with rehydration food, place an empty cup on the stove and it will go out; You can then recover unused fuel from a refrigerated stove - I was able to recover an ounce from a 16 ounce cook using two ounces of fuel. This shows that the stove's design is efficient - you can also see what appears to be rustproof mesh in the fuel outlets (I don't know what's used for the wick - fiberglass?) Not a bad design! Weight lovers should be aware that the entire cook set weighed around 7 ounces - no idea how much lighter you could get for ultra-light trekking. TIP: As you may know, alcohol stoves will not work if the stove and fuel are cold - store the stove and fuel separately, in an inside pocket or under your arm in front of a freezer of boiling water.
