I mainly use these bowls as cereal bowls for my kids. They look nice, withstand a fall to the ground and won't break. They are dishwasher safe but do not use them in the microwave. I made that mistake and although the bowl wasn't damaged, the bowl got very hot - I won't make that mistake again! Ideal if you are looking for nice, simple crockery. Washes well too, no problems with stains.
