- When I was a kid I got a plastic folding comb early in the summer. I loved this comb and wore it every day until it broke. I had to wait for spring again to finally buy a new one. When I saw this wooden folding comb I felt a wave of nostalgia and knew I wanted to try it and write a review. The handle lies comfortably in the hand. It is sanded to a smooth finish with a clear protective coat. No burrs or splinters.- When unfolded, the length is a full 7 inches and the comb is 3 inches long.- The comb portion is crafted to be smooth to the touch with no sharp corners. It has the same clear finish as the pencil and goes through the hair with ease. The handle and comb are thick enough not to bend or break. It looks durable and good looking! My only negative comment is that the colorway in their product photo shows a dark finish while mine has a light to clear finish. I assume that depending on how the tree is cut, the color will change. The woodwork is well carved and looks and feels good. I like to carry this with me every day.
