Review on Seattle Sports RS Twin Straps by Jason Melvin

One of these broke within a year. Of course it disappeared very quickly so it got compromised but I easily tore the net in half by pulling it apart (was only out a few days and disappeared and got compromised). I have several sets of Seattle sport belts (REI marked) from the early 90's and surprisingly they still hold up (although they're getting a bit thin (wouldn't trust them for anything big like SUP) but we're talking the early 90's! ). How do you explain the difference in performance over time? Made in USA vs China. However, and maybe it doesn't make much sense, I replaced the failed straps back with the same ones (just won't leave them out for a while because they can't handle it). How I miss those days when things lasted.
