Bought for my wife's broken ankle. Her boot was much larger, longer and heavier. She had difficulty walking, climbing stairs, or getting into vehicles. This is also the start of the bruising on her calf. She loves this shoe. Since the foot length is shorter, it can walk much better. She was here 3 weeks in the old boot. Not sure if that's ok for the new break as it's so short it allows for a bit of movement which the taller one won't. She is a women's size 8.5 and we ordered a small boot. If you look closely, her fingers are about an inch from the end. Her calves are larger than most and the boot still fits well. We ordered it at 3pm on Sunday and received it at 2:45pm the next day. I can't say anything about the durability, but the build quality is good. If it just lasts the 3 weeks we need, I'll be happy. It only costs $40 with next day delivery. Her previous shoe cost several hundred dollars.
