Let me start by saying that over the many years of my motorhome travel I have had various types and brands of sewer hose brackets and NONE of them were good but I did have a sewer hose supported by alum in the last 10 years and they are still with us. PRO: Lasts almost forever. They are not easily broken or bent (if not abused) and are not prone to sun damage. They do not become brittle and do not break at the hinge points. They carry even the heaviest sewage hoses well, as long as you lengthen them enough to keep their center of gravity low. Putting on and connecting the sewage hose is much easier and faster. Thanks to their design, you can put bricks or stones on the rungs in contact with the ground so that strong winds do not knock them over (use small bungee cords so that the wind does not blow the hose itself off the bracket). CONS: Limited length. . You can only get about 7-8 feet per section if you stretch them all the way out, so you'll have to carry multiple sections, which means more expense than a plastic prop. i carry three This is a compromise. Take a plastic leg with you, which takes up a little less space in the cargo hold, but is more difficult to assemble, usually breaks sooner or later and can tip over easily, OR. Wear multiple pieces on these aluminum legs that will never go bad if you don't abuse them. As I said, there is no such thing as a perfect solution, but overall I am happy with the construction, durability and ease of use of these aluminum bars.
