I am repairing my own 18ft power catamaran. I'll go all the way and don't skimp on anything. A lot of the boats you buy have terrible electrical systems. Car wires and connectors, cheap switches, fuses and no junction blocks. I bought the Blue Sea Switch Panel because of the quality design, built in circuit breakers, lightweight back panel and high quality plastic. Also very weather resistant. So when I'm done, my boat will be top notch, from construction to electrical to finishing.
