Review on ๐ŸŽง Asseso HP1 Gaming In-Ear Earbuds: Powerful Bass, Hi-Resolution Sound and Improved Noise Isolation - Perfect for Gaming, Workouts, and Running (Silver) by Laura Ramos

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Optimized for pop - also great for classic ensembles

This bud set is pretty full spectrum. It won't suffice for hip-hop bass (good but not "powerful" as said), but when sharpened for hip-hop, these headphones won't work for classical music. Definitely heads and shoulders above those given away with a basic cellphone bundle in the past. TEST CLIPS (lossless flac) - Alice Merton "No Roots" - Ann Akiko Meyers Copland Violin and Piano Sonata - Evanescence "Weight of the World" - Hans Zimmer "Now we are free" from "Gladiator" - Canvas "Mars" from "The Planets" -- Joan Baez "Diamonds & Rust" BEST Asseso offers a very clear and smooth performance with solo ensemble mixes, with good harmonic reproduction for solo violin, violin Mix and Copland's piano was near perfect and very well articulated. For straight pop music with pronounced solos like "Diamonds and Rust" it's very good. Merton sounds great hitting these ROOTs. NUANCE Evanescence's song sounds like it's been compressed twice in some way. In complex orchestral passages, particularly those with active string parts accompanied by flute and piccolo parts, I heard a sort of tinny bleed or just distortion at high frequencies. For example in "Mars" trumpet parts (think war riff) play they play very well until the rest of the orchestra joins in. Then it will be partly cloudy. The Zimmer classic from "Gladiator" was similarly affected, although some passages were fine. PHYSICAL - The jack looks well made (may be the first thing to break). - Still comfortable after a few hours of listening - - Comes with multiple connectors; this is important and certainly affects the sound quality - a really good tin body, if a bit big on the wallet. One setting doesn't work for all types of music. So if you have a heterogeneous playlist and are picky enough, expect to stick with the controls. ***Recommended. In this price range, you will get your money's worth with the Asseso platform. TESTS - Realtek HD Audio on Acer All-in-1 Win10 Pro Desktop - Oculus Quest 1
