I was thinking about getting a new Hero 7 or 8 for recording videos for my Strong In Retirement YouTube channel, but decided to buy this case instead and extend the life of mine to extend Hero 4. The case is well built and has a great fit and finish! It met my expectations and I think it's great value for money. It has the holes I need for my Hero 4. Not sure yet if I will be using ND filters but it has the option to attach them. I also thought I needed a hot shoe stand to keep my BOYA BY-MM1 mic out of the frame of the video. It's not, I don't know what's cool! Also, I was able to use my phone to control the Hero 4 without the case interfering with the signal transmission. something happens to water.
