Look closely to tell the difference between front and rear. The metal brackets on the front are shorter but easy to miss. The front straps can be shorter as they attach more in the center of the door opening and touch the head when getting in and out of the jeep. The rear straps attach to the back of the doorway and are positioned more perfectly. Installation access is much easier if you remove the top, but if you have a 1/4" ratchet that will take a short T-25 bit, it's pretty easy with the top in place. The point angle of the screws makes it almost impossible for a straight-handled screwdriver to enter the recess in the screw heads when the point is in place. They look great with our Jeep's black interior and are half the price of similar straps in the QuadraTec catalog.
