I've looked through so many LED strips to find what I wanted and I'm glad I chose them. I wanted a chase effect that I could use to decorate my house. You have done a great job. It's only been a few weeks, but so far so good. I used built in glue for one section and so far it has withstood temperatures of up to 20 degrees Fahrenheit. For other sections I bought small magnets and used the ones on my roof to attach them. I detached the foil from the adhesive with a needle and then glued the magnet directly onto the strip. If you do this, use small clips to hold the ends while you attach the rest. If one piece falls off, everything falls off. This has happened to me a few times, but they've been holding up great ever since. I used an 18/3 thermostat as well as marine crimp butt connectors to bridge the gaps with three connector clips. I use two power supplies but to be honest one ran three sections with no noticeable dimming. We don't have a lot of humidity here so I really hope I don't have water issues, most of the connections are under the eaves so I used marine connections. These lights did exactly what I wanted and I didn't see any reviews showing their use so I wanted to share them. The only downside is that the color choices are a bit limited compared to some others I've seen. I haven't found out yet if you can create your own chase effects. I would recommend if you are looking for a chase app.
