Review on Hamilton Beach 67608 Big Mouth Juice Extractor: Premium Stainless Steel (Discontinued) for Large Batches of Fresh Juice! by Matthew Davenport

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great price, easy to use, easy to clean (if you follow the instructions)

I was looking for a tamper proof juicer for my husband who was complaining that our other "famous" juicers were too complicated was. I read the reviews, compared the options and the cost and came to the conclusion that this is the best option. I AM NOT WRONG! We own the As Seen on TV product which costs five times as much as this one. We rarely used it, mainly because the cleaning involved was ridiculous. This juicer is a game changer! They have a very reasonably priced juicer from a great company that works better than my expensive version and is easier to clean afterwards meaning we use it more often. all kinds of fruits and vegetables (including citrus fruits). I should warn you, however, that like other juicers, the "rind" juice on citrus peels can leave a bitter taste, so if that's a problem for you, take it off. But be aware that you will lose most of the nutritional value if you do this. This juicer really strains the pulp (which comes out pretty dry, so it's a very efficient juicer). (If you're looking for something to mash the flesh of a product, use a food processor or citrus press. Not this type of juicer.) One very important tip: ALWAYS rinse the parts immediately after juicing. Avoid fruit pulp. for drying plastic or metal parts. If you do that, everything I said about it being a "lightweight cleaning" becomes invalid. Also included is a brush to clean the metal part of the filter. DON'T LOSE IT :) Obviously it's included for a reason!
