I really wanted a 'more mature' backpack to take with me on international trips as well as for use at conferences which I attend regularly. I ordered this one and it fits my laptop perfectly. However, if you're carrying more than one book and a couple of notebooks, this backpack will feel very small compared to regular school-sized backpacks. I didn't have any extra space to store my stuff. I really like the gold zippers and blue lining and luggage attachment feature. But I do agree with the reviewers who mentioned that the side pockets aren't big enough for a water bottle and that the straps on the back come undone (it's handy but doesn't seem designed for prolonged use). I have used side pockets for snacks, gum or tissues. Will be used in the future, maybe not for travel.
