I have a dual screen setup that I just completely upgraded so I figured I'd get nicer monitor lamps. I originally had Lofter monitor lights and it lacked the aesthetics. They're a lot prettier because they're black instead of triangular and have a sleek, minimalist design. There were many other reasons why I decided to switch to these lamps. The mechanism to keep them on top of the monitor works much better on curved back monitors than other monitor designs. The lamps can be completely detached from this bracket as they are held in place by magnets. Thanks to this magnetic fastening system, they are also very easy to adjust. The lamps don't have a hard USB connector but use USB-C cables which are very good value for money. Oh, and of course it's great that they don't have any controls on the cord or lamp body because they have a remote control. A remote control can be paired with two lamps very easily by unplugging and plugging in both lamps and then double pressing the remote control within 10 seconds after both are on. If successful, the lights will flash. However, there are a few areas where the product could be improved and should be considered before purchasing that I would like to know about. The mechanism for the weight can only be opened so far. It would be nice if they removed the notch preventing it from opening so the lamp sits perfectly flat on thicker monitors. The monitor lamps are said to be off-light design, this is even advertised on this product page. This prevents the light from reflecting back through the screen and also maintains a fairly constant light level from the screen to the edge of the table. Unfortunately, this lamp has NO light filter. It also has a diffuser that seems to be. Affects the light output negatively. Because this lamp at maximum brightness is the same as the Lofter lamps I've used before when they are half set. That's my biggest gripe with these lights: they just can't be as bright as I'd like them to be. When I used Lofter I set it a step higher than half. If they could get 1/4 brighter than they are now I think that would satisfy everyone's needs. Because of this I considered returning them but ultimately decided to keep them as they are bright enough for me. I just want them to be at least a few percent brighter. Then I know that many people looking at these lights look less at the light and more at the diffuser. these are really bad. Just right below you have 201 lux, and I have 82 lux at the edge of the table. Compared to the Lofter, which has a delta of only 15 lux directly under the lamp to the edge of the table. I firmly believe that I could get better performance if I opened it up and removed the diffuser.
