I received them and was pleasantly surprised by the little turtles on the lids. My husband loves turtles haha! I didn't look closely as I was just hoping to find a good snack and small containers for the dishwasher. You know how it is; The plastic ones end up falling apart like popcorn and never really come out clean. You have completely solved this problem. I thought the lids wouldn't hold, they're so soft, but I poured water into the largest one and turned it upside down. The lid stays! I haven't stress tested them over and over again and I haven't kept them on their side for long periods of time like they do in a lunch box, but I expect the seal will hold up pretty well. I don't think I would intentionally store them on their side, but from experience, any container is. Oh! And the smallest is perfect for measuring EXACTLY one ounce of almonds. "One serving" according to most labels. Love it.
