The surface of my cheap desk has been looking a bit worn and thought that a desk pad would make it look nicer and serve as a good mouse surface. I previously tried one made of neoprene, but it wasn't quite the right size (not big enough), too thick, and it's surface always looked dirty due to the fabric used. I really like this particular desk pad because it is a good size for the desk, isn't very thick (which is good if I set the laptop off to one side and it's partially off the pad), and it can be easily wiped clean. The edges don't fray either. The extra matching mouse pad is great for my desktop mouse and the reversible color is a bonus, although I have yet to flip over. I have been using this desk and mouse pad set for a month now and they still look brand new. I am very satisfied with the look and function of these pads and so it's easy to recommend them if the size fits your needs.
