I bought 4 of these to help with wiring my desktop at home. A few weeks later, one of them dropped out. I have no idea how that happened and they are kept away from everything and never touched. Once I could only hear sounds from one ear with headphones. I dismantled the audio system and was perplexed. Eventually I decided to exchange these things and found that was the case. Very disappointing. I checked others and they still work but who knows for how long. Now I have to think about it as 2 of these are for a mic I rarely use but when I need it I don't need to troubleshoot.
