Yes, I'm a SOG fan too. The knife I've had for 8 years is the SOG Flash 2 and I really like it. I did a brutal job with the knife with no hiccups. After seeing the SOG Baton Q1 and Q4, I knew I wanted both. It looks like Q4 will be released in September 2017. After several weeks of daily wear at work, I've come to this conclusion. Good: I like the pen and had no problems with it. The fact that they use regular ink is great in a world where most companies only want you to use their overpriced replacement parts. The end of the screwdriver works as it should, a little smaller than I thought it would. I would be happier if they put a flashlight on the other end and didn't have a bottle opener with a screwdriver. Simply because I would use a flashlight a lot more than a bottle opener. at work - That's cool. It earns you cool points if you show it to your friends. Bad - scissors, many commented on how to open and close them. I have to admit that it takes a little getting used to. - Scissors, I'm not sure I would trust them to cut cardboard. Overall a bit weak. - Scissors, I went to open the box by cutting the ribbon. If you push the scissors even a little to get the blade under the tape, it pushes the handle down a little. When the handle is depressed, you cannot use the scissors. Yes, I know you can't use scissors. $40 for a pair of scissors that cannot be used. This is madness. There were other examples when I used them and they were turned off by the handle. Sad - scissors, they are sharp but rub against each other a lot. For example I used them, scratched them, tried to open the freezer with them. Plastic baby popsicles are better than these scissors. The plastic just went between the blades. All in all a $40 pair of scissors that won't work in most applications. I would use scissors. I will continue to use it for the next few weeks but am not optimistic about keeping it to myself. ***Update: It's been about 2 weeks since I wrote the above review. I haven't been able to cut a piece of tape with it, and I've had several other incidents where the handle interfered with the scissors. I'm sending them back to Revane. I can't use Q1 like scissors, so this product is useless. Note to SOG Engineers; If you had a scissor handle lock I would rate them much better and keep them. In its current form, it's a trifle.
