I ordered some cool looking starfish air fresheners that actually attach to air vents. I have weird spring shaped ones that need to be tied around the air vents. They come in individual packaging, which is very convenient. I've tried a few scents and while none of them were completely uncomfortable, none of them worked for me. The good news is that after a week the smell is almost completely gone and you're stuck with a spring on the trigger. At around $3 each, maybe my expectations were too high, but even ignoring the fact that they aren't in the shape I ordered, the product page advertises them as having an enduring scent. They claim that a pack of five should last 225 days, which means I should expect the scent to last around a month and a half for each air freshener, which is definitely not my experience. For $16, I'd rather buy a few packs of regular tree-shaped air fresheners.
