Pleasantly Surprised

I work 10-12 hours a day on concrete. I've tried so many boots, from too many manufacturers to count. Only the Valspar balaclava (approved by cops and paramedics) seems to push all the buttons, but it's hard to put on and take off, the laces stink, and they don't last long. They are easy to put on and take off, easy to break in, medium to thick socks can be used, feet do not sweat, and are very comfortable. NO LEGS OR KNEE FATIGUE. I have a 10.5/11 in most shoe sizes. I have narrow feet with a high arch. There were just a lot of concerns. I have 11 but with regular earbuds they fit well and the width isn't an issue. Better suited to premium cycling or mud boots than military boots. Wouldn't go camping in them but look forward to getting a size smaller and also trying on casual wear for the well made price and a pleasant surprise, wish I had stumbled across them 5 years ago. Update: 8 months later and holding up like a champ. No visible wear. Very happy and impressed. I'll get some more for housework. Update 16 months: Just started cracking easily and swapped out inserts. I'm amazed at how often I wipe them down with detergents to clean up spilled ink. I have a brown ungropped pair for gardening, they fit great, size 10.1/2 fits well but still wears like a boot. I have the same type from another manufacturer (Danner, ON SALE) which is more like a running shoe, I only use it for leisure. (suspicion of longevity). Will you buy another working pair of Berghahns in another 6 months? 😀
