When held overhead with the fingertips of both hands and released, they will bounce off a regular concrete slab at about eye level. Roughly the same as the "Super Ball (R)" ball brand. The painted "face" withstands normal wear and tear quite well. There is nothing wrong with the balls, that should recipients from have the expected amount of pleasure to receive for a fee.
