I've been using Delsey luggage for 10 years now and my purple bag in the photo is finally starting to fail. TEAR. I bought a new turquoise 21" carry-on and I think it's the same bag I have, just a newer model and based on my measurements it will still fit over my head. I have traveled on numerous international flights with my purple bag. Traveling and I've never had a problem with it fitting in the overhead unless the extension has been used AND very packed. I installed it above with an extension that has been used many times with no problems. But low cost airlines overseas probably won't fit as they are smaller than in the US. The new turquoise bag is a little higher off the ground than my purple one, but I think that's due to the 4 spinning wheels (purple are the standard 2 wheels). The width and depth of the pockets appear to be the same. I will update this post after riding it and hope it lasts as long as the purple bag. Before I got the turquoise bag, I bought the Travelpro Elite 4 wheel bag as numerous articles said it was the best. Bag but the interior was smaller than this bag due to the handle. The age range and outer leather strap came loose after one use so I sent them back and went back to what I know works on this bag! By the way, the color is beautiful.
