Review on Stromberg Carlson AM 200 Assist Handle by William Stewart

Revainrating 4 out of 5

4 stars for good reason.

Love the handle. We have 5 steps to get to the ground in our Class A motorhome. It's difficult for my wife to get off because she has about 3 steps with no handle. I think this will be the answer to her balance, although she says it's too far from the camper. I gave it 4 stars because it took 4 trips and two days to install. The original screws went into the aluminum backed wall with no problem, but the screws were so long that they penetrated the aluminum channel on the back wall until it went all the way down and broke off. I ended up drilling through the wall and using nuts and washers to secure it in place. It's safe now. I caution you not to expect anything when you ride it. Thankfully, the door's aluminum frame was wide enough to accommodate the handle mounts. ATTENTION during installation.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly torn
