They are very thin. While they give some sense of protection, they probably don't protect against the coronavirus. They don't even protect my hands from the smell of onions or garlic. The vinyl gloves I had before that at least kept the odors away. These break pretty easily. Of course, with any glove it is important that hands are kept very dry (not always easy in hot and humid climates). They tear more easily when your hands are slightly damp. They are also great for small hands. I'm at the top of the size chart - small on top and medium on the bottom (so I tried medium, which is about an inch and 1/2 longer than my fingers).
