I am very impressed with how durable this product is. For the money I expected a lighter and thinner bed. Not only does it look expensive, it feels expensive too.1. The instructions are very clear and if you follow them there will be no problems.2. All hardware is boxed and labeled, not just one big bag of nuts and bolts. All you need for assembly is the Allen key provided. An electric one wouldn't hurt though as it will save you an hour or two. :)3. All holes are pre-drilled and very precisely prepared so that everything is well matched. A second pair of hands never hurts, but isn't necessary in this case.4. The boxes (inner walls and floor) are not made of wood but of slightly translucent, flexible plastic on a thin metal frame. It actually makes it easy to put together, easy to open and close, easy to get in and out of, but I wouldn't put anything too heavy in it. Drawers have a tiny locking mechanism to keep them in place. They're pretty superficial but miracles don't happen. Surely time will tell how this bed performs and what kind of bullying it can take from an active 10 year old, but so far I'm very happy with this purchase.
