Just got back from the Uvarri National Forest after a half day hike of about 5 miles. This is now my favorite daypack. I'm 6ft 4in, 300lbs and I walk to get in shape. I point this out because, as all big boys know, a lot of backpacks are made for little skinny boys. Surprisingly, this backpack has enough customization options. to accommodate me with a spare seat. A full hydration bladder and everything you need for future night hikes including raincoat, spare socks, first aid jacket etc. easily fit in. No external pockets for things you need quickly. Good airflow on the back minimizes sweating. I like how the chamber is in the main compartment which makes it easy to fill and access. the construction seems a bit light and I have doubts about the durability. So far, so good. Another minus is the bladder, which leaked immediately. I replaced that pose with a bombproof camelback pose, so don't worry. For $44 it still gets five stars. You can just assume that you need to get a better bladder and keep the original as a spare.
