I saw my 2 year old literally jump on his tablet with this case. I have bought 4 cases in the last 3 years and all tablets without a single failure. The buttons are hard to reach and bare. Maybe it would be better if it was fully closed, but I'm not sure how it will perform on the thick foam this case has. It's impressive how the sashes that hold it up stand up to the daily abuse of a 2 year old. I threw away the other suitcases because the frames break within a few months. I bought 4 of these cases and they are all still usable. It's also one of the few cases that comes with a screen protector, but that's not great. The protector will get dirty and deformed after a few months. When that happens, I pull it out (because it's glued to the plastic case cover). I'm replacing it with a $4 hard screen protector. I can't stress this enough. Follow the instructions. First the upper part is placed on the tablet and then everything is put together in the sleeve. All in all, the case saved and protected all of my kids' tablets and saved me thousands of dollars. I'm not worried about them breaking it. Unless, of course, my child jumps on the tablet like on a trampoline.
