updated after 9 months of use; Both my husband and I have pretty much given up trying to take good pictures with this camera. My husband is back with his old camera and I'm sticking with my iPhone. I found it too difficult to get decent shots with this camera. I would ditch this model and make a better choice with a little more money. I bought one for myself and one for my husband for his birthday. Not the best choice. This is NOT at all like my movie elf that I loved and miss. This digital version is enough to make me want to buy the film. It's nowhere near as good as my husband's (Canon) digital point and click. It's a very light piece of metal that doesn't focus and creates blurry images. The battery is empty too quickly. . Turn your back on it and the battery will die. I've had it since July, my husband has the same amount and neither of us are happy with photos or videos, my iPhone shoots much better. The focus is never right, the sharpness is poor, the lighting has to be perfect, otherwise the picture won't work. So far it hasn't been perfect. Save your money and move on
