I bought this to replace a 17" Dell monitor that worked fine but wasn't the right size and brightness. I bought this monitor because I like ASUS products, it had a DVI connector and built-in speakers. I don't listen to much music on my computer, so sound quality wasn't a big deal, but saving desk space by building speakers into the monitor was a big issue. The monitor works great right out of the box. I didn't set anything up, just plugged it in and it worked great. There was a discount in December where ASUS refunded $20, so my shipping cost ended up being $139. It couldn't get any better!
