Review on Audio-Technica ATH-SR30BTBK Charcoal Gray Wireless Over-Ear Headphones with Bluetooth by Dave Howard

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The sound is good and pleasant, the battery life overturns. UPDATE: Died at 13 months

So I haven't been a headphone lover since the 80's when I rocked the Walkman. But now, when I'm working from home, I use my old Logitech headset for calls and meetings, and occasionally stream music. The on-ear phone started to hurt my ears, the sound was mediocre at best, and the battery needed charging almost every day. I hesitated and hesitated with this decision as the AT didn't have a boom mic, but I wanted good sounding headphones for music and relied on the functionality of the mic. I've been watching/listening to a lot of youtube reviews with headphones and wondering if I should use the noise canceling or not. Bla bla bla. Made the right choice they sound great, not studio quality but really good for old ears. They sit snugly in my ears, but still fit and don't cause any discomfort. In terms of battery life, it's been a week and I'm still riding on the original charger. Highly recommended update: 13 months (ie 1 month after manufacturer's warranty) - the microphone now appears and disappears during meetings, and the audio appears and disappears during music streaming. I went from being a big fan to being quite a lazybones. I thought I would send them in for repairs but I reckon they will charge over $100 so not worth it. I'm a bit old school (or is it just old school) and I think something like this should last a lot longer than a year. So I'm lowering my star rating and looking for something else.
