In most households these batteries are no better than regular Coppertop batteries. It all depends on what you use the batteries for. Quantum has certain advantages under certain conditions. For example, we have several touchless soap dispensers. Pumps need a lot of power for short periods of time to function properly. Coppertops will be fine, but I've found Quantums offer better performance and last longer. I also use them in some flash units. The Quantum flash charges faster, which can be crucial for the photographer. I also use Quantums at the outdoor weather station. I have found that they tolerate extreme temperatures better than Coppertops. Here I have given you 3 examples where quants rule. For these purposes I give them a 5 star rating. The cheaper Coppertops are sufficient for all normal household purposes. Please note that the Quantum must not be mixed with other battery types. You will not work well if you do this.
