Not bad for the price

I bought this to use as an emergency drain for our washing machine alcove. Seems suitable for this. I ran into some issues that I didn't have with the much more expensive in-line drain for our shower. First off, the outlet has a small 1 7/8" OD and fits a standard 2" drain pipe. Since it's just an emergency drain I routed it that way, but if you plan to use it in the shower I think it's best to use a 1 1/2" to 2" clutch without a hub clutch. Second, there is no way to attach the drain to the plywood subfloor. The instructions refer to installation in a layer of mortar on concrete. I'll cut a slot in our subfloor for this and will use a thin set of grout to hold it in place. Again good for an emergency drain but maybe not one that will be walked on and used every day. Finally, there is no way to adjust the height, so the final height of the floor must be carefully considered before installation.
